The CDBCC offers an amazing Sprint Canoe Kayak program to members aged 8 and up. These programs provide instruction and training for beginners and experienced paddlers alike in the Olympic sport of canoe and kayak.
Back by popular demand we are offering an Adult Master's Competitive program (25+ years old). This program will operate Tuesday nights from 6:30-7:30 pm as well as optional nights depending on participant's schedules. Cost for this program is $175.00 for the entire season. There will several regattas and provincial races that each competitor can be a part of for an additional cost for entry fees.
The focus is on learning paddling skills, enjoying the beautiful Lake Ontario, making friends, and age-appropriate athletic training that follows Long Term Athlete Development principles. The goal is to develop water sport skills and confidence while having a great time in a safe and supportive environment. Athlete’s will train in Single Kayaks or Canoes, and crew boats (2 and 4 athletes). Focus will be on technical development, endurance, and racing skills.
Youth racers will participate in a variety of fun regattas and provincial qualifiers throughout the summer.

Youth participants may join afternoon summer day camp sessions for an additional $75 per week. This allows competitive sprinters to stay at our site from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Program Details:
Ages: 8 – 16+
Cost: $650 for five-day training program (July – August) and in mid May & June there will be training from 4:00-6:00 pm two/three nights a week (days will set based on competitors schedules) dependent on weather
5 Day Program Time: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 pm (July and August); 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. (May and June)
Location: West End Marina Parking Lot (100 Hibernia St, Cobourg, ON K9A 3J8)
